Chef Jeff Greening
Executive Chef
Chef Jeff Greening got his start at Dixie Diner as a dishwasher at age 16. He quickly moved up the ranks to grill cook and by 17 was named kitchen manager. Jeff went to Culinary School at the local community college Texarkana Culinary Academy and received an associate degree in applied science. During this time, he worked at Ruby Tuesday’s Starting as a line cook and working his way to kitchen manager, assistant manager, and General Manager by the time he graduated college. During his 10 years with the company, he won GM of the year, was named the Reginal General Manger Training Facility, and spent time on the menu development team flying back and forth to Maryville, TN and working under Executive Chef Peter Glander.
After Ruby Tuesday he went on the be the Executive Chef Partner at Scotties Grill where he first became a customer of Tankersley Foods. During his time there he doubled the restaurant’s sales and profitability along with booking sold out shows with nation recording artists including Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson, and Turn Pike Troubadours just to name a few. After leaving Scottie’s Grill he went on to become the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director at Hilton Garden Inn / Texarkana Convention Center. During his time there he was able to open a local restaurant of his own Dragon’s Den Café and Catering. After a long partnership with Tankersley Foods as a customer he decided to try sharpening his skills as a restaurant consultant and Territory Manager with Tankersley Foods. During this time, he won many contests and Salesman of the year. Jeff has spent time as a New Business Developer and a most recent roll as District Manager for Tankersley Foods.
Jana Gardner
Healthcare Specialist / Corporate Dietitian
Jana Gardner serves as our Corporate Dietitian and Healthcare Specialist. She joined us in 2011. Her 30 years in the foodservice and healthcare industries is a huge asset to our company and customers. With experience in contract food service management for Marriott Management Services, Sodexo, and Aramark in healthcare, corporate dining, catering and retail operations management plus the years of expertise she has brought to Tankersley Foodservice.
Jana received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education and Community Services and Master of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, both from Oklahoma State University. She earned her certificate as a Registered Dietician through University of Central Oklahoma and is a ServSafeÒ instructor through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Jana proudly serves her community as a volunteer 4-H leader. Her passion for gratitude and recognition of veterans is demonstrated by her participation on the Fayetteville National Cemetery Advisory Committee.
